The Embarcadero is a long stretch of land on the east side of the San Francisco peninsula. It is serviced by the last San Francisco stop on eastbound BART lines.
The Embarcadero is home to the tourist area, Pier 39. It hosts the Ferry Building, Embarcadero Center, and many pier-based businesses. It is popular with both tourists and locals alike as a great spot for walking, running, and enjoying the bay.
On Saturdays and Tuesdays, look for the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market to buy fresh, healthy food. Yum!
