Street art is an artistic form inspired or evolved from the graffiti movement in public art. San Francisco has many vibrant, amazing murals, abundant graffiti that ranges from super-arty to gangs or kids tagging. Street art is considered to be more deliberate and controlled. One of its aspects is to appreciate how a work installed on a public street changes over time or is modified by others as well as how it weathers away.
