A beautiful view can be had from the southwest corner of the park (2007).
Mission Dolores Park, commonly known as just Dolores Park, is pretty much the only patch of green in the Mission district. On weekends, hundreds of people can be found here having picnics and playing with their dogs.
The park is divided into two halves by a paved walkway and the restrooms. The northern portion tends to attract more crowds, perhaps due to its trendy reputation — the sloped section facing Dolores Street is popularly known as "hipster beach." The southern end makes for a prime barbecue spot, and has plenty of space for your frisbee-chasing dog.
There's a fantastic view of the city and downtown skyline from the hill in the southwest corner of the park!
Dolores Park previously existed as a Jewish cemetery. Eep!
Dolores Park is located between Dolores St. and Church St. (East/West) and 18th St. and 20th St. (North/South).
