Mission Bay is a small waterfront area located in SoMa. Its borders are Townsend Street to the northwest, Seventh Street to the southwest, and Mariposa Street to the south. The San Francisco Bay forms its east border.
The T-Third Muni rail line passes through Mission Bay, as does the N-Judah line, which comes to an end at the Caltrain terminal at Fourth and King streets.
