Fort Mason

Fort Mason was established in the 1860s as a U.S. Army post. During WWII, Lower Fort Mason was heavily involved in sending troops into the Pacific theater. Today, Lower Fort Mason is a National Historic Landmark, and houses the Fort Mason Center.

Greens Restaurant, a famous vegetarian restaurant, is located in Fort Mason.

A hostel is located inside the grounds.

Fort Mason is at Buchanan St and Marina Blvd, in the Marina district.

Muni buses #10, #22, #28, #30, #47 and #49 stop near Fort Mason.
