The Ferry Building is a building on the Eastern coast of the city, looking out to the San Francisco Bay. It was formerly a bustling transit terminal, however, in the late 90's it was restored, and is now host to a wide range of retail shops and restaurants, as well as the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. The Ferry Building is a notable landmark due to its distinctive tower, and its having survived the 1906 Earthquake.
