Tram number 228, Originally from Blackpool, England, stopped in front of the Ferry Building along the Embarcadero The F Market & Wharves Muni Line runs northeast from the Castro up the center of Market Street, looping around along the Embarcadero waterfront, and ends at Fisherman's Wharf.
All trains that run along the F line are vintage, and they come in various styles and colors. Eleven "new" (yet still antique) trains are expected to be integrated into the current fleet in 2008. The trains have origins across the United States, with one from Blackpool, England and an upcoming addition hailing from Mexico City.
