Chris Daly is an outspoken liberal member of the Board Of Supervisors. He is particularly well known as an advocate for housing rights and the homeless.
In addition to his forthright aggressive political beliefs, he is also known to shoot from the hip quite a bit. This has included accusing Mayor Gavin Newsom of being a hypocrite for proposing to cut $200,000 from a program for recovering cocaine and methamphetamine users while being a cocaine user himself.
