AMC Loews Metreon is located at Westfield Metreon.

This is the largest multiplex in San Francisco. Upon its opening, this place was considered a major movie going destination. However, since 1999 multiplexes and megaplexes have sprouted up all over the country and now the Metreon is nothing special.

There are 16 screens (15 regular screens and 1 IMAX Screen) 1-15 are THX certified, however the IMAX is not THX certified.

The IMAX screen is approximately one hundred feet wide and several stories tall.

There is stadium seating and digital surround sound in all auditoriums. (SDDS and Dolby Digital)

This theater features a main concession stand that serves curly fries, chicken tenders, Orville Redenbacher popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, Icees, and candy.

You can join the AMC MovieWatcher club to earn points toward free popcorn, soda and tickets. You get a free small popcorn every Wednesday with a ticket purchase.

Please note: If the movie you want to see is not playing here, you can always go to Century Theatres across the street at Westfield San Francisco Centre.

Please see Movie theaters for more theater options.
